Hello, Universe! If you haven’t heard about CrowdStrike’s Adversary Universe project, this article will introduce you to the project - what it is and how it can be used to learn about the current threat landscape. Let’s get started!

What Is The Adversary Universe

The Adversary Universe contains information about today’s threat landscape. The project was created to enable cyber professionals to keep up-to-date with the evolving threat landscape, equipping them with the information they need to better defend their networks from today’s persistent and sophisticated threat actors. Through the Adversary Universe, one can learn about a threat actor's historical cyber footprint such as cyber-attacks that have been attributed to an actor, the countries and industries they’ve targeted, and the tradecraft they use to accomplish their objectives.

The eCrime Index

The eCrime Index (ECX) is a component of the Adversary Universe and it is used to monitor the state of the electronic crime underground.
